Meet Merlin
Registered name: Merlin od Dinare
Merlin is the newest addition to our pack. Born right in our living room, he quite literally dove out of the womb and in my hands. Max has always said Merlin knew this was home, and honestly, it feels true. He just fits here in a way that is hard to explain but easy to see.
He is a charismatic, fearless little dude who makes friends everywhere he goes. If I had to describe him in one word, it would be happy. He always has a bounce in his step and is ready for whatever the day brings. He loves a good cuddle, learns quickly and has a bright, attentive expression you can’t miss.
For such a young dog, he has already made an impression in the show ring. He has earned a Group 2, Best of Breed and multiple Best of Opposites early on. More importantly, he is showing all the qualities we look for in a Tornjak. Guarding instincts, a genlte character and a natural presence. He is still growing and has a lot ahead of him, but we are sure he will continue to amaze us!
What does his name mean?
Unlike our other peculiar names, Merlin is more commonly known. As a wise and magical wizard from the tales of King Arthur, Merlin is best remembered as the mentor who helped shape Arthur into a respected and capable king.
Our Merlin was from the M-litter and although we believe he will one day be very wise, he was named based on his “wizards cloak” of brown coloring that drapes across his back.

Od Dinare takes health testing and transparency very seriously because we believe it is the foundation of quality dogs. Pedigree evaluation is also essential, as is maintaining meaningful connections with our extended dog families - past, present and future dogs.
